The time has come for an emotional post.

I have been thinking about death today really, I'm not for sure why, but it's made me extremely thankful for the time that I have to spend with my friends and family right NOW.

For instance, my dad. Even though he is alive and healthy, I couldn't help but thinking about how hard it would be for me to cope without him.

I guess what got this part started was listening to my mp3 player. Being in this thought process already, I began to think about what I would do if I lost my dad. Would I bury myself in the music that he loved so much? Would I never want to hear any of it again?

He has passed his love for music in every way down to me. I love music. If I'm happy I listen to music, if I'm SAD i listen to music, angry or hyper... you get the point. Dad is the music buff in the family, and I don't think I have ever went to him with a song that he couldn't tell me the artist, title, album, year, and sometimes even the track number of.

I put my zune on shuffle and began to think about the memories that I have linked through songs with my father.

For example.....
1.Hollywood- Nickleback. Dad got this cd from his friend Billy. Dad does everything with Billy.
2. 25 or 6 to 4- Chigaco. Dad let me borrow this cd when I was about 13. I think eventually he had to buy another one cause i kept it so long. :D
3.Sara- Jefferson Starship. Dad always played (or sang :D)this song for sarah when we were younger.
4.Kiss you all over- Exile. Every time he ever brings home a cd to add to his massive collection, he always tells me the history of the artist.... Which songs I would know and stuff.
5.Rock and roll lullaby-BJ Thomas. Dad always wins tickets to things from Bob Labbe almost EVERY six weeks for knowing crazy music trivia. He won us tickets to see Bj not too long ago and that was special being able to go with him.
6.Frail grasp on the big picture-Eagles I know quite alot about the eagles, thanks to dad. We were really really excited when this cd came out last year.
7. Too much-Elvis. Dad bought the Elvis 30 #1 hits when i was really little. I claimed it at about 2 i believe. My favorite was "In the Ghetto"
8.Amy- Pure Prairie League Whenever I think of this song I go back to my childhood days of running in and out of the garage while dad was "piddling" on one of his mustangs. I'm not sure why this song does that to me, but it does. He never fails to have the radio on down there.
9.Silver Wings- Merle Haggard. Dad used to have Levi sit on his lap and listen to Merle at the computer. Which is funny because he doesn't exactly just love old country.
10.Eight Days a Week- Beatles. Where do i even start on this one? Dad likes the beatles. and so do i.

So basically, I don't really ever listen to music without thinking about dad.

And since i said something of Mustangs... lol that's a WHOLE new subject. Thats another thing he has passed his love to me on.

Basically, I say all this to let him know that I love him a whole lot.

I cried a whole whole lot today thinking about life without him.

Today was Josh and Tesia's LAST young peoples service.

Josh said alot of good stuff but one thing he said was

Now that I think about it, Brother Cornwell has probably already given you guys a run down on the meeting... But oh well. I didn't get very many pictures, which I strongly regret.

I just got home from the BEST meeting ever!! Friday afternoon about 26 of us from Morgan City went to Forrest City, Arkansas for their annual Youth Jubilee.

It was AMAZING. We (Leah's car) got there right before preaching Friday night, and Brother Develle Lloyd preached. After that we went to taco bell at about 11:30p.m and had some good Church of God fellowship with the saints.

Saturday morning Brother Cornwell preached on planting the right seeds. Brother Ricky Dukes preached the message Saturday night on "Fatal Attractions" which was awesome because I had never heard him preach before.

Sunday morning's service was like none other I have ever been in. The chairman called on Bro. Curtis (you know with the police record a mile long) to give his testimony. Then Jeremy stood up and gave his testimony on how he didn't have to go out and get a police record. He wanted the young people to know what God can do for you if you get saved early on in life. Bro. Andre (I'm not sure where he is from) stood up and said that he was that other one. The one that had been raised in church and left.

So Brother Jennings got up and asked if we knew what God had just done. He had given the unsaved NO excuse not to be saved. The chairman (I regret that I'm not sure just who he is) is a correctional officer and started talking to the males. He said that he was very concerned for the young males. Brother Jennings then had an alter call and about 13 people stood up and went to be saved!

After that we had more testimonies and then Brother Moncrief preached on how its "our time to shine". Which was very encouraging.

During this time God told Brother Curtis to go talk to a young man in the side wing. He didn't even know this guy but he felt like he needed to go talk to him. This was during church so we didn't find this out until after preaching... But the young man got saved during the message! Then after church was over and done with and everyone was leaving, ANOTHER lady got saved!

God was really working in this meeting. There were visitors that were results of the street meeting, there and that was a blessing.

Another thing that was awesome was the Praise. There were times that you couldn't even tell that the choir was singing (which is amazing cause they were super loud) :-) because there were so much praise going on. It made me think of Bro. Cornwell and how he has been talking about praise.

This meeting gave me a determination to stay saved and was very much of an encouragement that i think we all needed.

I can't wait for Wednesday nights service! I feel like Bro. Curtis when he said "My cup is full saints"!!

Brother Cornwell's message about being thankful and having peace made me think.Alot. He was talking about how one little thing can destroy your peace if you dwell on it too much. He said that all of us have SOMETHING that could get us down, but we don't always let it. We can put those things behind us and SMILE!! Put the devil in his rightful place and let God direct our lives the way he wants. How HE wants. Not how WE want it to be directed.

I don't want to ever get too busy that I'm not thankful and have no peace. If I let God direct my life right NOW, then later on he will bless me for it. That I'm positive of :D

A California Update :D

I got an awesome blessing in going to Escondido. I made so many new friends and the services were all so good!!

- Tuesday I flew into LAX (the Los Angles airport) on tuesday at nine or something... i can't really remember. Caught a shuttle *after we got on the WRONG one and had to get back off again :D* to the car rental place, and Brother Jim drove a blue PT cruiser with Sarah, Cassia and I... While Sister Becky drove a Sienna (I think) with Kim, Sister Haney, Sister Virginia, Sister Allison, and Sister Nadine to the Escondido Church grounds.

Sister Romero was waiting for us (when we got there at like 1:30 a.m.) and unlocked our rooms and we (everyone except Bro. Jim and Sis. Becky) went to sleep in our rooms. The Knox's stayed at the Edringtons

-Wednesday we woke up and needed some food so we called Victoria Edrington (everyone else was at school or work) to pick us up and take us to eat. We Met Gary and Michelle Nunley, and Nathan O. and went to the beach and the mall to see John at Calvin Klein... The beach was very cold on wednesday!! Wenesday p.m we went to church... I'm pretty sure it was Bro. Romero that preached -Thursday we got to be introduced to the Cowbell. Not a good thing :D. Six thirty in the morning comes very early btw ... Breakfast was at 7:30 to 8:30... Prayer and Praise at 9:15... Church at 10:30... lunch after and then church at 7. I actually have no clue why we have to be up at 6:30 except to elbow the wall or yell at the walls (you know who you are :D)... The Grounds are really nice. The food was awesome :D We also went to Ihop after the night service (all the yp which was ALOT) -Friday was about the same except for the addition of young peoples at 3:30... Brother Casper had the lesson... We got food and brought it back to the Romero's after night service... Lots of fun!!-Saturday was about the same :D Brandon had the yp lesson and all the other messages are all mixed up in my head :D I remember them but not all in order...

-Sunday umm was the same :D church. eat. church. eat :D we went to Applebees that night I believe...
-Monday we stayed at the grounds until like 3. then we all loaded up in Sis. Romero's and the church van (which Bro. Casper drove) to Oceanside. It was so awesome!!! I think this was the only day it even began to be warm enough to go to the beach... The saints had a whole little section to ourselves really... we had a fire, walked on the pier... some yp played volleyball...and we left at like 10 heading back to the church...

-Tuesday was definitley NOT my favorite part of the trip... some yp's flight left at like 11:40 a.m.... and since there wasn't room for Kim and I on the second trip to LAX... we had to stay at the airport until our flight left at 10. P.M.... so yeah. we sat on a bench from 10:30 something till 3:30... our luggage couldn't be checked in until six hours before the flight so we had to sit there with it until then. After 3:30 we went through security to our terminal and waited. and waited and waited. 9:20 p.m we got to board our flight to detroit. In Detroit we had a 3 hour and 30 mins layover. By that time I was getting pretty sick :( I layed in the floor (thanks kim for leaving me there!!!) and woke up with people all around me :D with everyone else that was SUPPOSED to be with me across the room lol. We finally got home at 9:40 a.m central time after 20 hours in an airport and 4 on a plane.

I thought I would take a moment and do a post about :

There isn't really much to update you guys on. I'm still the same me that I have been all my life. Although I do hope that I act older sometimes :D... I still have to have everything perfect, I'm pretty easily annoyed :-( , and I still love music.

Actually, I have been having these weird fears lately. Like of starting school, and college. Scared of losing my friends. Scared of growing up.

Not that you guys want to hear about my fears or anything, but I have been having them, and it's kind of different for me. I have always been the kid to get up and have my school done early. To keep my room clean, to always have everything done when it's supposed to be done, and overall, I would say I'm a pretty well rounded person.

But lately, Everything is changing. Lots of things in my life are changing, some of the changes I like, and alot of them I don't.

I don't really know what to think of it all. I know God has a plan for all of us, but right now i'm not sure what it is. And sometimes it's hard trying to figure it all out. :-(

The Sixflags Legacy

^^^Cause i'm just so short

This morning Dylan woke me up at 4:40 a.m. Sister Sharon, Ben, Kaitlyn Ary, and the Parsons got here around 5:20 a.m. We left and headed to Atlanta... Stopping at Shoney's for breakfast (Arby's for Dylan, Ben, and I), on the way out of the parking lot, we noticed that a kitten was in the parking space that the Parsons' van had been ocupying.... A little black kitten had ridden ALL the way to Gadsten from their house. Sister Barbara and Brother David got out and tried to catch it, but it was one of the wild ones (i'm guessing) and wouldn't come to them for anything. It finally ran away.

Shoney's of Gadsten now has a kitten. But.... Moving on, we then went to sixflags. We had a blast!!!! (but who doesn't at sixflags right???!!) We didn't ride ALL of the rides, but we rode batman and goliath over and over. We went to Wendy's (right beside sixflags) for something to eat and to change clothes afterwards. BUT.... we didn't count on the key not working to Sis. Sharon's car. The Subaru "Legacy" only has one key entry on the drivers door. Something happened to the spring, and wouldn't let us in.

Now normally this wouldn't be a problem. Use the remote??? DUH!!! Well it just so happens that the remote was IN the car. So... we called the police to come help. They can't unless the car is running, or someone is locked in (Ben said to tell them that he thinks he COULD be in the car, he wasn't sure just yet)... So the next thing we did was call State Farm Insurance. They gave us a number to a locksmith in Atlanta. It was going to cost around $165 and 35 of our minutes for him to get there. Sis. Sharon wanted to call her husband, and make sure that was okay.

Let me make a note that Sister Barbara was praying... Like 4 or 5 times. Sis. Sharon only came to be a blessing to us.... And you know what Gilbert's suggestion was?

Let Ben beat on the lock. WHAT!?! So... He did. Not too hard mind you, because of the alarm system, but he beat on it with his fists.

And you know what? It worked. something moved around in there, and we could slide the key in just fine. Now wasn't that great???

The trip home (once we finally got on the road) was pretty eventful. I was EXTREMELY hyper. No one got to sleep.

I have pics (obviously)... so look at them. I took them with you guys in mind!!! The one of me and "Green Lantern" is my favorite!! I love him!!

I am now running with no sleep from 4:30 a.m to now (1:17 a.m)... so i'm so tired. I'ma let ya'll go, and go night nights!!

First. Know this:

I KNOW that most everyone in the group Queen is (was) gay. I ALSO know that Freddie Mercury died of AIDS. Queen is a pretty controversial group.... and these are only my opinions.

I personally only love Queen because they (in my opinion) are one of the best song writers, singers, and played a big part in making Classic Rock what it is. I think Freddie may have had one of the best voices that i ever have heard. I don't like them because of their tight pants, or their weirdo "Old fashioned lover boy" song (just one of a couple of their weird ones).... any ways. I just like Queen. Alot. You know when it rained today?? as soon as it started pouring majorly i had this bright idea....

Since I already had to have a shower, why couldn't i go play in it for awhile? So... I went and played in the rain. By myself. Jumped on the trampoline, ran around bare footed, all that good stuff... The kids stayed inside, and I went to play in the rain.

16 year olds can have fun too! :D It's not like we are adults or anything right?? :D

Okay... My life REALLY hasn't been too boring here lately. Bible School, Founders Day, Horse back riding, swimming, shopping, graduations (SORRY Drew!!) , and people coming home from EUROPE (I missed the Knox's so much while they were gone...)... antiways, it's been pretty fun, and I even went to a Rodeo AND a Mud-bog. The mud bog was pretty redneck. okay, make that VERY redneck. ha. I had MUCH fun though, and that's all that matters right?

Bible School has been fun so far, I'm in Carol Romines' class, and I promise you she's trying to drown us in candy... :D ha ha. I love being in her class!! Even if she does make us sing to get Dove chocolate!!

Were making crates, like the kind you can put stuff in you know? :D antiways, I am painting mine sky blue and putting like my initials on the sides or something. It should turn out pretty cutesie. I'm doing the attendance, which is great, cause I get to be all close and personal with like the rest of the bible school departments. I even went to break with the juniors the other day... That's just cause they are more my height. :D

In other news,
Duane Walker played at founders day... He is so awesome!! Founders day is really redneck, but I love it. we all get our exercise by walking from one end of Morgan City to the other... so that's the bright side... :D

These are all pictures that the pretty lady above (Linda McCartney) took during the Sixties... These pictures were for all to view @ the Huntsville Museum of Art until today.... I had wanted to go see these, and Mom won 2 tickets (they were only $7 apiece.... but still) so, Cassia, Mom, Rhiannon, and I went to view the display this afternoon after church.

I had a blast... But i'm not sure how everyone else liked it.... I did kinda feel weird, all these older guys with ponytails and pot bellies were running around going: "HEY... I Remember THOSE guys!!!" lol... And the only person in there that COULD have been maybe under 20, was wearing a tyedyed shirt, and looked like he had on some John Lennon glasses... Anyways... I REALLY enjoyed myself... and I am VERY glad I went...

I have heard this song, and heard this song, but until I saw Glenn Frey, and Don Henley talking about this song on "The Eagle's Farewell Tour", I had no clue what this song was about...

I am better educated now. They(The Eagles) were scheduled to have to have a recording session on September 11th of 2001, but as you could imagine, it never happened. Instead, they sat down and wrote this song. "There's a Hole in the World Tonight"....

Hey everyone!! I could go on and on about how sorry I am for not updating , but that would just be a waste of words and I can't go back and change posts that never came to be, right?

New years for me started on Wednesday... And didn't end until Tuesday... Every single one of the messages were very much of a blessing to me.

Not everyone could come this year, which was sad, but it was SO much fun!!
I had a blast :

Hey!!! Sry I haven't updated in a couple of days, and I can't say I have been so busy...

Well, I guess I have, I was @ Mandi and Ryan's sunday night, then monday morning Mandi and I went shopping, then I went with Ethan, Elam, and Ashlee to Arab Parkage to see the lights (they were pretty, the walkway with the lights was awesome!!),went back to Mandis (stayed the night), then on Tuesday, I woke up, got a shower, and went to town with Renee and Reese until 6:30, went to Aidan Brian's birthday party @ Chuck e cheese, then came BACK to Mandi and Ryan's until Ashlee got there. THEN I CAME HOME.

Tonight's service was a BIG blessing to me.

Sister Sherry Relifords testimony stuck out to me... She said something like God's will never changes, it just sometimes has a cloud over it so we aren't able to see it all the way. Even though we can't always know God's will, we still have to believe, and then in God's own timing, he will show us what he wants us to know. She also said she was very thankful for having a man of God to give us the word. I strongly agree. God has blessed us greatly with our pastor.

That's what I got out of it anyways.

Stephen John's testimony was also a blessing to me. I hope he will stay saved and keep his fire for God. God will bless him if he does.

Know who I missed though? Cassie!! She's sick... I hope you feel better soon girl!

Gage has been my little buddy since monday... We got home on Monday from taking Ryan to Birmingham airport, so he could fly out to Uma, Arizona to be with his brother, Nathan and his family.

Gage made my bed for me (or what he thought was my bed) brushed my hair, and has been my little sweetie ever since. He woke up on Tuesday making sure I was still there.

Then... He was praying last night for everyone... and this is what he basically said.

Since Thursday, I have been @ Jess' and Phillip's house hangin out with Laura and Jess. Phil is in Colorado with some buddies hunting elk until Tuesday.

We have been having a ton of fun.

If you can measure fun in tons that is.

Yesterday we woke up (on a Saturday remember) @ 6 O'clock in the morning to go to the grand opening of Gander Mtn.

It's an outdoors store, that sells stuff pertaining to fishing, hunting, canoeing, stuff like that.

I could not believe that Jess, and Chase had drug Sis. Cindy and I out at that early. I don't EVER wake up that early.

You know me... I wake up about 10 or 10:30 every morning. I don't like to be bored during the day. It doesn't take me long (at all) to do my school, so why wake up early, get everything done, and then have nothing to do for the rest of the day?

Anyways, Gander Mtn was pretty cool. We got there around 7 (It was Cold!!!) and were among the first 100 people. We were given $10 gift certificates (each), Gander Mountain shirts, stickers, the kids got deer antler hats, and gander mountain tattoos.

I spent my gift card on a pink Gander Mtn. shirt with a moose on it. I MIGHT even wear it to church tonight.

Chase and Jess got %'s off of their purchases from bow target practicing at balloons.

It was much fun... Even though I didn't get much sleep in the past weekend, I had a TON of fun.
